I don't want anyone flaming me for this stamp. If you don't like AFI, I don't care. If you don't like me, I don't care. All you'll really do is waste time for both of us.
This is NOT for use off of Deviantart!
Okay, this just had to be said. I've noticed nowadays that there are a lot of AFI fans, but the majority of them are what I like to refer to as "Miss Murder n00bs"... which means, they got into AFI around the time "Miss Murder" was released, only bought Decemberunderground, and the only other AFI songs they know are their more popular songs. They really only like AFI so much because they want to bang one of the band members, and they always go on with "<insert band member here> is mai husband! omfg! lol!!!1"... and they're just generally aggravating. A lot of them are also those emo/ scene kids who live on Myspace and write blogs about cutting themselves or whining about god knows what. Lastly, they would have never known AFI (or had any desire to know them) if it wasn't the cool/ scene thing to do nowadays, and they'll probably never listen to any of AFI's older albums.
Because of them, people generally tend to assume that all fans of AFI are total dip shits, cutters, whiny emo kids, posers, whatever. Before this massive wave of n00bs, that was a more rare thing.
I've also noticed that a lot of AFI's older fans ditched them when Decemberunderground came out... and now have taken to bashing people who still like them. I mean, just because a band gets played on MTV it doesn't mean that you can't listen to them. Seriously.
This stamp is dedicated to all of the Despair Faction members, the hardcore AFI fans, the ones who would still be fans of AFI even it wasn't cool, and the ones who are still fans of AFI even after they got more popular!
I was a fan of AFI before you could walk into Hot Topic and find all sorts of AFI merchandise. I was a fan of AFI since before "Miss Murder" was ever played on the radio. I was a fan of AFI back when no one knew who the fuck they were... and I'm STILL their fan. ARE YOU?
PS- No, this doesn't mean that if you are a more recent AFI fan that you necessarily are like that. I've met a few who are actually not complete shit heads. If you think I'm hating on every single new AFI fan out there, you've missed my point.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
